Common Chili's Questions

By Jake Morrison. Checked November 6, 2026.

These are the questions people ask about Chili's beyond the prices. Each answer comes from Chili's own pages or a named report, checked on November 6, 2026. We are not Chili's, so your restaurant has the last word.

Does Chili's Take Reservations?

Nope. Chowhound reported in December 2025 that Chili's does not take reservations. It does offer call-ahead and a get-in-line option in its app. Calling ahead puts you on the wait list before you arrive and gets you an estimated wait, but not a set time.

If you reach the top of the list before you get there, your table can go to the next party, so call the restaurant if you are running late.

Do Chili's Gift Cards Expire?

Nope. Chili's says its gift cards do not expire or carry fees. Each card holds $10 to $100, and eGift cards are sold on chilis.com.

You can use one in the restaurant at any Chili's or Maggiano's Little Italy in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam, and on US military bases overseas.

Holiday offer: Chili's gift card page says that until December 31, a $50 gift card comes with a free $10 Bonus Card. The Bonus Card works in the restaurant from January 1 to February 13, and not in Hawaii.

Do Kids Eat Free at Chili's?

We found no everyday kids eat free deal on chilis.com. The 8 kids meals cost $6.99 at the restaurants we read, and they are all on our Chili's kids menu page.

Does Chili's Still Have 2 for $20?

Nope, it is not on the menus we read. In June 2022, 3 For Me replaced Chili's 3 for $10.99 and 2 for $25 offers. Today's deal is 3 For Me, from $10.99 for a drink, a starter and a main. Our deals page has the rest.

Is Chili's Open on Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Going by 2025 reports, no: Chili's closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and opened on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. We found no 2026 schedule yet. See our Chili's hours page for the dates and sources.

Is Chili's Food Halal?

Chili's allergen guide does not mark anything as halal, and we found no statement on halal from Chili's. Ask your restaurant before you order.

Where Can I Find Protein, Carbs and Sodium?

This site lists calories only. For protein, carbs and sodium, use the nutrition page on chilis.com. Our lowest-calorie food page ranks the lighter dishes.
